Lovehistory is a theatrical company that draws upon the fascinating and exploratory history of Liverpool. The City is presented to you in all of it’s splendour, with theatrical tours, lively and engaging performances and especially for schools “page to stage” creative workshops are available.

Lovehistory provide a number of uniquely entertaining packages that appeal to a whole range of groups including: tourists, families, residents, schools and international students.

“Lovehistory believe in maintaining the integrity of theatre as an art form. All stories are meaningful, historically accurate and intertwined with the magical thread of creativity that brings the history to life!”

Lovehistory love the history of Liverpool: The characters, the people and its past, not to mention its fine architecture. Liverpool is famous for its rich and diverse past and the Lovehistory team leave no stone un-turned as they explore the many factors that have made, and continue to make, Liverpool what it is.

Collaboration between Lovehistory and the History Department of Liverpool University produced a research project for the themes related to the murder cases of James Maybrick and Julia Wallace, and also the Irish Famine of the 1840s. Based on this research, Lovehistory have developed theatrical performances, re-enactments and creative workshops.

Lovehistory has a new youth theatre, working with enthusiastic young performers. This has been made possible through our partnership with NSC Liverpool, (Neighbourhood Services Company) an organisation working in community regeneration and developing opportunities for young people and the Alt Valley Youth Theatre. The aim of the youth theatre is to have a real focus on developing the creative talents of participants who will have an opportunity to promote and celebrate their city through performance.
